Teaching Strategies

Opening doors with a powerful and unified brand

Teaching Strategies needed a clearer and more relevant brand positioning to help solidify the organization’s role as a significant player in the early childhood education market. Customers were confused about the product line offering and often, the Teaching Strategies brand name was overshadowed by its products. Other, large K–12 publishers were encroaching on their space, so it was time to put a stake in the ground with a strong and consistent brand.

brandMatters worked closely with the Teaching Strategies team and dug deep to understand the brand from their customer’s point of view. After extensive research, we created a master brand architecture that unified the disparate products and product lines, and built a cohesive brand that recognized pre-school educators as the key to opening doors for pre-K and pre-school students in school and in life. “Opening doors” became a center point in the logo and identity design. After the rebranding, Teaching Strategies doubled its sales revenue in the first year and the brand earned the AEP Beacon Award for Marketing.
